How to Enjoy the Suite Life When Traveling with Kids

Everyone loves vacations. But planning a trip with your family and kids can be hectic. When it comes to kids, we know they’re a handful, so a lot of thought goes into planning the perfect family vacation with them.

It’s important that you book a hotel room that can accommodate the size of the family. Even though the option might not be financially feasible for everyone, the extra square foot goes a long way when it comes to handling kids inside the room.

The tricky part is ensuring that your kids have fun in the hotel suite, because if that can’t happen, you might as well say bye to your happy family vacation dream. Here’s a list of things you can do to enjoy the suite life when traveling with your kids.

Inspect and organize

As soon as you arrive, have your partner take the kids out for a stroll so that you have a chance to inspect the room and determine if anything needs child proofing. Look under the bed and clear away all sharp objects in sight. Once that’s done, begin unpacking and start organizing. If you have babies, it’s advised you set up changing stations as well.

Get a pool or a gallery

Try and get a suite that has a gallery or a pool nearby. Both of these places are good for you and your kids to unwind and relax after a long day out.

Pack some snacks

With children, you never know when they’ll start bawling. You will find yourself waking up in the middle of the night to your kids screaming because they can’t sleep or because they want to play more. Snacks will come in handy, so pack some biscuits and potato chips to give to your kids once they start acting out.

Bring toys from home

No better way to distract kids by keeping them involved with toys. Bring toys from home so the kids are occupied throughout the vacation. You can even pack in some special pillows, stuffed toys or blankets that your kids are attached to.

Daycare facilities

Choose a hotel that has day care services available. If you want to spend some quality time with your partner, sending your child to daycare which has fun-filled activities planned for the kids can be a good experience for you and your child. After all, children need their space too.

Like we said, it’s tricky vacationing with kids—and it’s even trickier finding the perfect room that is suitable for them. Check out FlipFlop’s hotel booking website and pick the perfect hotel suite for your family.
